Placing Holds on Titles

In the Library Catalog, you can search by title, author, subject or word for the item you wish to place on hold. Once the item of interest is displayed, click on the blue "Request" box at the top of the page.

On the next screen, enter your name and library card number as instructed. Click on "SUBMIT" to place the hold. A new screen will inform you that your request for a hold was successful.

If your hold request was not successful, you may attempt to place the hold again or call the library for assistance.

NOTE: If an item shows “Check Shelf” it may still be several business days before it is pulled from the shelf and sent to your home library for pick-up.

If you need materials quickly, please call your home library (phone numbers are available here) and library staff will be happy to assist you.
