How to order LDS Microfilm from the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library
Go first to the Family Search site at https://www.familysearch.org/. You will find the "Sign In" link in the upper right-hand corner, and from there you can create your account.
You can search for information from the main page. When you find something you'd like to request, be sure to note the film number, found in the Film Notes section. In the About This Record section at the bottom of the item's page, there is a link to rent the roll through the online ordering system. Click on that link or note the roll number. If you choose to order later, you can go directly to the ordering page at https://familysearch.org/films.
Once on the ordering page, you'll need to indicate what kind of rental you're interested in (long term, short term, etc.). Type the film number into the search box (do not cut and paste) and hit enter. At this screen, you'll need to determine whether you'd like a short term or extended loan and add your roll to the cart. From here, you can continue shopping or go to the checkout. Once at the checkout, you will be asked to fill out payment and shipping information like you would on any other commercial site. Note: The library is not a part of the ordering/payment system.
At some point, you'll be asked to indicate where you'd like the film sent, and you'll select the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library after being guided through a few pull-down menus that help to determine geographic location.
Once you've ordered your films, you can track the progress of your order on the site using your ID and password. When the film arrives in the library, we check it in and contact you. Please be aware that LDS microfilm may be viewed in the Local History & Genealogy Room only, and that you will be responsible for letting us know when you would like to have the film sent back to LDS.
Any charges to your account are between you and LDS.
